October 23: Satan’s Whiskers

Imagine you planned to make a martini but you decided that you really wanted a screwdriver but then again, maybe something more complex with some bitters. Yeah, that’s Satan’s Whiskers.

Taste profile: bitter, sweet

Ingredients:

• ½ part gin
• ½ part dry vermouth
• ½ part sweet vermouth
• ½ part orange juice
• ¼ part Grand Marnier
• several dashes orange bitters

Mix all the alcohols and mixers except the bitters in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a cocktail glass. Add bitters and enjoy.
