Once upon a time I jokingly said that I would start at Pond Scum #100 and count down in versions until hitting #1 at which point the drink would be perfected. Many recipes have been lost to the drunken mists of time but here is one of the survivors that provided tasty results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Taste profile<\/strong>: sweet with touches of bitter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 part coffee liqueur<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 part vodka<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 part melon liqueur<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 part orange juice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd part Dr. Pepper cola<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour the coffee liqueur into the glass first; this is the mud at the bottom of your pond. Pour the remaining ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously then strain gently into the glass either using the side of the glass or over a spoon so as to not disturb the \u2018mud\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do not stir in the glass when served.
