Vodka (<em>little water <\/em>in Russian) is colorless and depending upon the quality almost odorless.&nbsp; While it\u2019s been around since the 12<sup>th<\/sup> century it only became truly popular, becoming its own category of alcohol in the last 60 years. Charcoal filtering makes a one time harsh alcohol much finer and palatable to the masses today. Vodka often is found flavored in today\u2019s market with everything from fruits to spices and grass.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vodka is defined as being colorless and tasteless but I\u2019ve never yet encountered one that is totally tasteless. I always detect a slight hint of the grain background even if only in the aftertaste. Vodka does mix well with just about everything although I tend to utilize it as a foil to sweetness<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Potato vodka is a totally different beast as I&#8217;ve found out.
